I make you/you make me
2020
Commissioned by Peterborough Presents (in support of their Heritage Lottery Millfield Link project) I worked closely with three generations of Kursheed Ahmed’s family. Frustrated by negative perceptions of their community and area, and its subsequent impact, they were determined to tell another story – one that placed respect, family and reciprocity at its heart.
In response and over many conversations, in their front room, I developed a series of collages featuring oral histories. These became source material for two annotated drawings that were accessioned into Peterborough Museum.
