I see you
2018
I am weary of the ways of the world – heartbroken, overwhelmed. Yet, against the odds, I find those compelled to give, see and feel.
This statement accompanies the showing of the neon piece. The work was originally made during the residency Migrations at The Arthouse, Wakefield, that saw me working alongside volunteers for City of Sanctuary. This charity supports refugees being temporarily housed in the city and offers them, amongst other things, a generous welcome.
