Flown for the 2020 South Explorer Special Festival in Charlois, Rotterdam – Made by Hands comprises of 7 flags – designed following a Bauhaus ‘contrast and harmony exercise’ and with waste cotton fabric sourced from Hampshire Flags.
Made by Hands draws on: the origin of the word manufacture; the concept of a European Union; efforts of women migrants at a fabric recyclers on Rotterdam docks; Dutch and UK maritime trading and the radical artists of the B.a.d. Foundation.
