Rooted was a week-long collaborative workshop with 11 Scarborough College students. Resulting in an exhibition at Cresecent Arts and Scarborough Museums.
For 5 days the students and I worked in a process-led way in response to a random selection of materials. We used collage, clay, poetry, photography, plants and recycled materials to generate artworks that map and speak of rooted knowing.
The show created an opportunity for visitors to see, read and contemplate a northern seaside town through the eyes of a group of 17 year olds.
